Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Palantir Foundry & AIP Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications built on Palantir Foundry and the Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP).
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building production-grade applications, integrating enterprise data sources, developing Ontology-driven workflows, and implementing AI-powered solutions using Palantir AIP.
The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly with clients to understand business requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Palantir Foundry Development
* Design, develop, and maintain applications using Palantir Foundry.
* Build and manage data pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
* Develop applications using Workshop, Code Repositories, and other Foundry development tools.
* Design and maintain Foundry Ontology, including object types, link types, actions, and business logic.
* Optimize data processing, application performance, and platform reliability.
2. Palantir AIP Development
* Build and deploy AI-powered applications using Palantir AIP.
* Develop AIP Logic workflows, AI agents, and LLM-powered applications.
* Integrate enterprise data with LLMs through the Foundry Ontology.
* Implement AI-driven automation, decision-support systems, and operational workflows.
* Evaluate, test, and monitor AI applications for accuracy, reliability, and security.
3. Application Development & Integration
* Build enterprise applications and operational dashboards using Foundry Workshop and custom development frameworks.
* Integrate Foundry applications with external APIs, enterprise systems, and third-party platforms.
* Develop custom interfaces and backend services where required.
* Support deployment, troubleshooting, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of existing Foundry and AIP applications.
4. Client Engagement & Solution Delivery
* Work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements.
* Translate business problems into scalable Foundry and AIP solutions.
* Own application development from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
* Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to client teams.
* Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve existing applications.
Required Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise application development.
* 2+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, preferably including production deployments.
* Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining applications using Foundry Workshop.
* Strong understanding of Foundry Ontology, object modeling, actions, and data integration.
* Hands-on experience with Palantir AIP, AIP Logic, and LLM-powered application development.
* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one additional programming language such as TypeScript or Java.
* Experience with REST APIs, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and enterprise integrations.
* Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, testing, and application deployment.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with client stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with AIP Agents, Agent Studio, and advanced AI orchestration.
* Experience with Foundry Pipeline Builder, Code Workspaces, and custom application development.
* Knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
* Experience integrating Foundry with AWS, Azure, Databricks, SAP, or other enterprise systems.
* Experience implementing role-based access controls, data governance, and security policies.
* Experience in healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, or other enterprise environments.
* Palantir Foundry or AIP certifications, where applicable.
* Prior experience in consulting, client-facing engineering, or forward-deployed engineering roles.
Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in engineers who have personally built and deployed Foundry and AIP applications, rather than candidates whose experience is limited to platform administration, data analysis, or dashboard creation.
The candidate should be capable of independently taking ownership of an existing Foundry application, understanding its Ontology and data architecture, implementing enhancements, building new AIP functionality, and supporting the application in production.
