Job Description


Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Requirement Gathering: Lead workshops and facilitate discussions with business stakeholders and internal consultants to extract precise business requirements, capture ‘as-is’ processes, define ‘to-be’ workflows, analyse alternatives, and recommend solutions for software, platform, and network configurations.
• FRD & Documentation: Prepare, write, and validate Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), functional design documents (FDDs), and solution blueprints. Review and confirm scoping documents and process flows for client engagements.
• Solution Design: Own end-to-end solution design across one or more D365 CE modules (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, or Customer Insights). Evaluate out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities versus customization needs and recommend the most efficient approach aligned with client needs, budgets, and business goals.
• Configuration & Delivery: Configure D365 entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, business process flows, security roles, and dashboards. Design and oversee data migration strategy (mapping, cleansing, validation) from legacy systems, and collaborate with technical consultants/developers on custom plugins, Power Automate flows, integrations, and PCF components.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Prepare and review test cases and scenarios, conduct and document functional/system configuration testing, support SIT/UAT, validate test results, and lead defect triage to confirm compliance with requirements.
• Leadership and Team Management: Guide and mentor functional consultants, allocate resources within projects, monitor team deadlines, and ensure high levels of competence and operational excellence within the delivery team.
• Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for functional discussions, UAT, and post-implementation queries. Deliver client training, demos, solution walk-throughs, and end-user training materials.
• Pre-sales and Consulting Support: Support pre-sales activities including solution demos, estimations, SOWs, and RFP responses. Participate in preparing proposals and engage in strategic consulting to identify new client opportunities.
• Go-live & Post-implementation Support: Take responsibility for project go-live activities, status reporting, hypercare, and providing ongoing support for deployed solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Develop process improvements for cost effectiveness and time saving. Contribute to reusable accelerators, SOPs, templates, and best-practice documentation. Stay current with Microsoft’s D365 CE roadmap, Power Platform updates, and Copilot capabilities within CRM.
• Quality and Risk Management: Ensure risk management and quality control processes are followed and implemented for each project. Prepare weekly project status reports and lead team meetings.

Basic Qualification
1. Microsoft Certifications are preferred, particularly MB-210 (Sales), MB-230 (Customer Service), MB-240 (Field Service), MB-220 (Marketing), or PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant).
2. Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.
3. Exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central or Finance & Operations (F&O) in an integrated landscape.
4. Industry vertical experience (BFSI, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Professional Services, etc.)
5. Exposure to Copilot for Sales/Service or AI Builder.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

Experience
1. Business & Process Analysis: Able to interpret and analyse business processes across varied industries.
2. Documentation: Skilled in creating, validating, and reviewing detailed functional, workflow, and testing documents.
3. Testing: Proficient in preparing, executing, and reviewing functional test cases and documentation.
4. Client Engagement: Strong client-facing skills for workshops, training, demos, and consulting.
5. Leadership: Capable of mentoring and guiding team members, taking ownership for functional delivery within projects.
6. Collaboration: Works closely with technical and functional leads, architects, and sales teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
7. Continuous Learning: Pursues ongoing professional development and certifications in Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform.

Knowledge and Experience
1. 6–8+ years of overall Dynamics 365 CRM (CE)/Power Platform functional consulting experience, including at least 2–3 full life cycle implementations as a lead consultant.
2. Strong hands-on expertise in at least two of: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing/Customer Insights – Journeys.
3. Solid understanding of the Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven), Power BI, and Dataverse.
4. Experience with tools (e.g., XRMTool, Power Pane, Level-Up, Configuration Migration Tool, KingswaySoft, or similar).
5. Familiarity with security model design (business units, teams, security roles, field-level security).
6. Working knowledge of integration concepts (APIs, Azure Logic Apps; Dual-write/D365 F&O integration is a plus).
7. Experience providing pre-sales demonstrations and preparation.
8. Experience writing functional specs, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
9. Excellent communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
