Job Description
HAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT?
The TPM-Cloud will be responsible for driving multiple cloud infrastructure, modernization, and migration projects for clients. This person acts as the controlling authority for assigned cloud engagements owning planning, execution, delivery quality, stakeholder communication, and project closure. The ideal candidate has a strong cloud-native background and can speak credibly to AWS/Azure/GCP architecture while managing end-to-end project delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Develop a strong technical and functional understanding of assigned cloud projects: infrastructure builds, cloud migrations, modernization, landing zones, FinOps, and managed services
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with cloud infrastructure complexity and migration wave planning
• Lead cross-functional teams (cloud engineers, architects, DevOps, SREs, security) to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Track, monitor, and report on cloud project metrics: migration velocity, infrastructure uptime, security posture, cost optimization KPIs
• Implement metrics-driven project management — define and publish KPIs (migration wave progress,
infrastructure provisioning SLAs, cloud spend vs. budget) and take corrective actions
• Communicate effectively with client and internal stakeholders to provide project updates, technical feasibility assessments, and address cloud-specific concerns
• Ensure governance cadences (sprint reviews, architecture review boards, release gates) are adhered to
• Manage project funding/invoicing timely and accurately
• Mentor junior project managers in cloud delivery practices
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
EXPERIENCE
• Software Services Industry Experience: Minimum 6 years
• Minimum 2+ years of Technical Project Management in Cloud projects (mandatory)
• Prior hands-on or architecture-level experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Prior software development or infrastructure engineering experience
DOMAIN-SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
(must demonstrate fluency in at least 3 of the following)
• Cloud migration strategies: 6Rs (rehost, replatform, refactor, etc.), wave planning, dependency mapping
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or CDK
• Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE)
• CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments: CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Cloud security & compliance: IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CIS benchmarks, SOC2/ISO alignment
• FinOps: cloud cost management, tagging strategy, reserved instances, savings plans
• Managed services & SRE: monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus), incident management, SLAs/SLOs
DELIVERY MANAGEMENT
• Proven track record of delivering cloud projects on-time and under budget
• Metrics-driven project management with cloud-specific KPIs
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban fluency; experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent cloud projects
COMMUNICATION & LEADERSHIP
• Excellent written and oral English communication
• Ability to work with multiple internal & client stakeholders, manage priorities, negotiate effectively
• Strong leadership and conflict management skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Graduate with a technical degree
• Must be willing to work full time out of ShellKode Bangalore office for the first 3 months
• Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Azure Solutions Architect, GCP
Professional Cloud Architect, CKA/CKAD
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification is a plus
