Job Description
General Summary
We are looking for senior software development professionals who can independently design and develop the product in Broadband CPE domain. This is a very niche area in developing the Broadband CPE (DOCSIS /GPON) devices with RDKB and would have the opportunity in working with a world-class team working on the latest technology and futuristic products.
The incumbent should have 7-11 years of overall industry experience in providing technical guidance for the delivery of services on time. Strong technical skills on Broadband CPE products is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Ability to design, develop and test embedded software solutions in the Broadband domain
? Expertise in developing detailed high level and low level design documents from the feature requirements documents
? Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
? Ability to work as individual contributor as well as guide the team technically in accomplishing tasks
? Flexibility in switching roles to accomplish timelines by taking up multiple responsibilities
Skills Required : Overall validated experience
? BE/BTech/ME/M Tech in ECE/CS with 7+ years of strong design and development skills.
? Good expertise in Linux kernel, thread programming, IPCs, Networking, virtualization and excellent proficiency in C/C++ programming as well as Data Structures
? Very good hands-on experience in development of Broadband CPE Products (Cable Modems/ Routers/ Cable and Fiber Gateways) with RDKB
? Expert knowledge in the following Standards and Specifications: DOCSIS, Fiber, VoIP, Triple Play services
? Networking protocols L2 and L3, routing, QoS, bridging and data plane services is mandatory
? Hands-on experience in development with Maxlinear/ Broadcom/MediaTek SDK for broadband gateways
? Development expertise on Embedded Linux – ability to develop and guide the team in development in these frameworks
? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, programming, debugging and trouble shooting skills required
? Thorough knowledge in the entire software lifecycle of embedded system software – hands-on expertise expected including Agile methodology
? Excellent written, verbal communication and social skills would be required for this role
? Must be self-motivated with an ability to work efficiently and harmoniously in large teams across geographies.
Preferred Technical Skills
? Experience with Plume, Airties and EasyMesh Wi-Fi Management solutions
