Job Description
Platform Reliability Architect :
Key Responsibilities
• Define and evangelize the enterprise platform architecture vision, establishing standards for Kubernetes,
cloud-native applications, and developer platforms
• Architect highly available, fault-tolerant Kubernetes platforms supporting containerized application
workloads across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
• Design comprehensive observability architectures using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and distributed
tracing frameworks for application monitoring and performance optimization
• Establish architectural patterns for Internal Developer Portals (IDP) that accelerate application
development velocity while ensuring platform reliability and governance
• Define SRE architectural principles, including SLI/SLO frameworks, error budgets, and reliability engineering
patterns for application teams
• Design disaster recovery architectures, multi-region failover strategies, and business continuity frameworks
for critical applications
• Architect zero-downtime deployment patterns (Blue/Green, Canary, Progressive Delivery) and rollback
strategies for application releases
• Establish architectural governance, design review processes, and technology selection criteria for
platform and application engineering
• Partner with application architects, development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to
translate requirements into platform architecture solutions
• Identify architectural opportunities for automation, developer productivity, and platform innovation
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 10-15 years of experience architecting, designing, and scaling enterprise-grade hybrid cloud-native
platforms and application ecosystems
• Experience architecting Internal Developer Portals (IDP) or comprehensive platform engineering solutions
that enhance developer productivity
• Strategic architectural thinking with proven ability to balance reliability, developer experience, and
application delivery velocity
• Extensive experience architecting production Kubernetes platforms at scale, supporting diverse
application workloads

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, control plane design, application networking patterns
(CNI), persistent storage architecture (CSI), and container security models
• Expertise in architecting observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and
distributed tracing strategies for application performance monitoring
• Expert in container orchestration architecture, application runtime security, and multi-tenant platform
design
• Knowledge in infrastructure-as-code architectural patterns using Terraform and Ansible for cloud-agnostic
application environment provisioning
• Expertise in designing cloud-agnostic architecture and multi-cloud application deployment strategies
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for architectural prototyping, tooling
development, and validation
• Experience collaborating with application development teams on microservices architecture, API design,
and event-driven patterns
