Job Description
Senior Android Developer :
Responsibilities:
1. Mobile Application Design & Development
• Lead the design and development of Android applications using Java and Xamarin on Android.
• Build high-performance, secure, modular, and scalable mobile features.
• Create reusable components, libraries, and patterns for the Solutions Design team
2. Architecture & Solution Design
• Participate in solution architecture discussions, translating business and UX needs into technical designs.
• Evaluate mobile frameworks, tools, and patterns to recommend best-fit solutions.
• Drive POCs and prototypes for new features, integrations, and platform enhancements.
3. API & Backend Integration
• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs, cloud backends, and enterprise services.
• Collaborate with backend, cloud, and platform teams to define contracts and optimize performance.
4. Code Quality & Engineering Excellence
• Implement engineering best practices—clean code, SOLID principles, performance optimization.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and ensure robust test coverage.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, improving performance and reliability.
5. Collaboration & Mentorship
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and architects.
• Mentor junior Android/Xamarin developers on mobile design trends, coding practices, and architecture.
• Contribute to team-wide engineering standards, guidelines, and documentation.
Qualifications:
• 3-6 years of hands-on Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java for Android (Kotlin is a plus).
• Deep practical experience with Xamarin (Native / Forms) and hybrid mobile development.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture components (MVVM, ViewModel, LiveData, Room).
• Experience designing mobile apps interacting with REST APIs, JSON, and cloud services
• Expertise in memory management, performance tuning, and background operations.
• Experience working with CI/CD for mobile apps (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
• Knowledge of mobile security, authentication, and secure storage methods
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
