Job Description
A Database Test Lead is responsible for spearheading all database testing activities, from planning and strategy to execution and reporting, while managing a team of testers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance, and employing advanced SQL skills for data validation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy: Define the overall test strategy, create detailed test plans, and outline objectives, scope, techniques, and necessary resources for all database testing activities.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of the testing team, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and promoting testing best practices.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, database management systems (DBMS), and testing tools.
Technical Execution: Perform complex data validation and manipulation using advanced SQL queries, including joins and DML statements, across various database management systems (e.g.,SQL, NoSQL DB)
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and senior leadership to align testing efforts with business requirements and communicate project status and risks.
