Job Description
Lead Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
?Technical Leadership & Architecture:
oLead the architectural design and implementation of complex Android applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
oDefine and enforce architectural patterns and design principles to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
oEvaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to optimize development workflows.
oDrive technical roadmaps and contribute to strategic planning for Android development.
?Development & Implementation:
oDevelop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, leveraging modern Android architecture components.
oWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
oIntegrate RESTful APIs and other backend services.
oOptimize application performance and address performance bottlenecks.
oTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
?Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
oProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level Android developers.
oConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
oFoster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
oWork closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
?Quality Assurance & Testing:
oPromote and enforce a culture of automated testing, including unit, integration, and UI tests.
oEnsure thorough testing of applications to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
oCollaborate with QA engineers to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
?Continuous Improvement:
oStay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, technologies, and best practices.
oProactively identify and propose improvements to development processes and tools.
oParticipate in technical discussions and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team.
Qualifications:
?Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
?6-8 years of professional experience in Android application development.
?Expert proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
?Deep understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.).
?Strong experience with reactive programming (Coroutines, Flows).
?Extensive experience with dependency injection frameworks (preferably Koin).
?Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso, MockK).
?Solid understanding of design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
?Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
?Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitHub.
?Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
?Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
?Experience with Jetpack Compose.
?Experience with Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, etc.).
?Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
?Experience with Google Play Store deployment and optimization.
?Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
?Experience leading a team of developers.
?Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
