Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in test automation using Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. The role requires strong analytical skills, a passion for quality assurance, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG/JUnit.
Create and enhance automation frameworks for web applications.
Analyze business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios and test cases.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Prepare test reports, execution summaries, and quality metrics.
Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and automation coverage.
Required Skills
3–6 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
Experience with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
Good understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design.
Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools.
Familiarity with Git version control.
Knowledge of API testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
Experience working with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.).
Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
