Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic SAP ABAP Developer to join our professional services team. This position will play an integral role in ensuring the timely and successful delivery of SAP archiving and application decommissioning projects. You will be working with a team that provides world-class technical services to a variety of enterprise organizations globally. The ABAP Developer applies business and technical skills, as well as consulting methodologies to collect and analyze information to design, configure, and implement Sigma Business Solutions’ software based on unique customer requirements. This role works closely with customers and other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of projects, as well as with Account Executives, Solution Consultants, and Strategic Partners throughout the sales and delivery cycles.
Duties and responsibilities:
In this role you are responsible for:
• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and optimizing ABAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, and enhancements to meet business requirements and ensure performance efficiency.
• Integrating SAP systems with third-party applications using technologies such as RFC, BAPI, Web Services, OData, and SOAP.
• Developing and maintaining RAP-based applications in SAP S/4HANA, leveraging CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and transactional behavior.
• Maintaining technical documentation for all development activities.
• Providing leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams in the delivery of projects, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Required Experience
• 7-10 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
• Strong understanding of SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, and PP.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP enhancement techniques (e.g., BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points), RESTful ABAP Programming Model, ABAP Cloud, and CDS data models.
• Experience with ABAP 7.4 (and above) development features and S/4HANA extensibility options, including Key User and Side-by-Side Extensibility.
• Hands-on experience with SAP UI5/Fiori development (including SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and UI5 libraries), managed via GIT repositories.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad design and configuration.
• Proven experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), including:
• SAP Business Application Studio and SAP Fiori Launchpad Service.
• Managing connectivity from BTP to S/4HANA (On-Premise, Private, or Public Editions).
• Setting up BTP sub-accounts, subscribing to services, assigning quotas/allocations, defining roles and access, and establishing strategies for different environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Debugger, Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT), and Transport Management System (TMS).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
