Job Description
Overview:
As an SAP Data Migration Engineer, you will play a key role in a large-scale S/4HANA Greenfield implementation program. You will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of data migration activities from multiple legacy systems into the new S/4HANA landscape. The role requires close collaboration with functional teams, data owners, and technical experts to ensure a smooth, high-quality, and compliant data transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute end-to-end data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
Design and maintain the data migration strategy, including data scope, approach, tools, and governance.
Collaborate with business and functional teams to define data objects, transformation rules, and mapping specifications.
Develop and validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, LSMW, or SAP Data Services (BODS).
Ensure data quality through cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes.
Coordinate data mock loads, trial conversions, and final cutover activities in line with project timelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot data migration issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
Support the creation of documentation, test plans, and migration reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement of data migration processes and templates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
BE /B.Tech /MCA /Bsc (Any Stream) /BCA/ M.sc (Any Steam) Full Time.
Proven experience (minimum 5years) in SAP data migration projects, ideally within S/4HANA Greenfield or large transformation programs.
Hands-on experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, Data Services (BODS), or other SAP ETL tools.
Strong understanding of SAP data models and key business objects (e.g., material master, bill of materials, routers, business partners, transactional data).
Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and transformation logic.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams.
Experience with Agile project environments is a plus.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
