Job Title: Vice President - Engineering
Location: Hyderabad
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Role Overview
The VP of Engineering will be responsible for defining the technical vision, managing
engineering teams, and ensuring the successful execution of our product roadmap. This
role requires a strong leader who can balance innovation, scalability, and operational
efficiency while fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Technology Strategy & Execution: Define and execute the engineering roadmap
aligned with business goals, ensuring the platform`s scalability, security, and
performance.
• Leadership & Team Building: Hire, mentor, and manage high-performing
engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical
excellence.
• Product Development & Innovation: Collaborate with Product and Business
teams to develop new features, enhance user experience, and drive continuous
improvements.
• AI & Machine Learning Integration: Oversee the implementation of AI-driven
features to enhance learning experiences and personalize student engagement.
• Infrastructure & Scalability: Ensure a robust cloud-based infrastructure that can
handle high traffic and data-intensive processes.
• Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and
regulatory compliance in the Edtech domain.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, product
management, and marketing to align technology initiatives with business strategy.
• Metrics & Performance Optimization: Define Objective Key Results (OKRs) and
continuously optimize systems to improve efficiency, uptime, and
responsiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Bachelor`s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related field.
• Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a
leadership role at a fast-growing startup or technology-driven company.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of modern software development,
cloud architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, DevOps, and AI/ML
applications.
• Proven Track Record: Experience in building and scaling high-traffic web/mobile
applications, preferably in the Edtech, E-commerce, or SaaS domains.
• Leadership Skills: Strong people management skills with a passion for mentoring
and growing engineering talent.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strategic mindset with a data-driven approach to
problem-solving and decision-making.
• Agility & Adaptability: Experience working in a dynamic startup environment with
the ability to navigate evolving priorities.
